A balance of wins and fails
Location was convenient, with nearby food and shopping options that enhanced the stay.
Upon check-in, I encountered unsettling surroundings and an uncomfortable front office experience.

Do Not Stay Here unless you want to be treated like garbage!
The air was finally working, but after hours of waiting it just wasn’t worth it. And the only other thing I appreciated was the angrily yelled obscenities from the kids outside, really set the mood for the stay.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but I guess that’s what you get for this level of service.

The place had a fridge which was a lifesaver and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. However, the room was filthy with stains and the air had to be manually turned on. I wouldn't choose this again.

Checking in at the Scottish Inn felt chaotic. The front office was a bit odd, with staff communicating through a bulletproof window. It didn’t set a comforting tone. The property and surrounding area seemed sketchy, giving me an uneasy vibe right away. The room smelled off, and I spotted stains on both the carpet and the sheets when I opened the door, which is a huge red flag. I found mold in the bathroom, which added to my discomfort. After seeing all this, I decided it wasn't safe or worth my money, so I went back to the front desk to cancel. The manager refunded me without too much fuss. I later called Bookings.com to ensure my reservation was canceled. Better options exist nearby that won’t make you feel so on edge.

missingWrote a review on May 22unsettling atmosphere
The overall vibe felt a bit unsettling, especially with the front office behind a bulletproof window, making check-in awkward. The location, while somewhat convenient, sits too close to a rougher part of town, which can be off-putting. In the room, there were noticeable stains on the carpet and sheets, leaving a little to be desired in cleanliness. The bathroom also had mold problems, which didn’t set a good tone for the stay.
